Winter 2009 is here

Thu Oct 15, 2009, 11:47 AM
Not much is happening but I'd like to assure you all that I am alive, if only half sensible after the most boring summer in existence has made my brain dribble out of my ears.

I will be moving back to Nottingham soon (I left when my MA finished and the tenancy at my student house ended, fully intending to move back to the city in winter with my bf). I look forward to seeing familiar faces again!
I passed my Masters in Illustration, thankfully, and will be trudging in the rain in robes next month with the mortar board on my xl sized head.
So next month will be new house, new job, MA graduation and my quarter-of-the-century birthday (DUM DUM DUM) but until then, I continue to live in limbo. Let's hope the spark of inspiration ingites again before then, this slump is driving me crazy.

Hey mate,

No, if course I don't mind if you put some up! Its your work after all, you should be damn proud of it And yes, i found them!! Mwhahahaha! You can't hide it from me

Lol, I did favourite a few, wanted to favourite them all but thought that would look a bit weird!! Ha ha, That white one with Mel sat on the floor was actually James' favourite one. I was still undecided but I was getting bullied off the machine so I couldn't take my time like I would usually. They're all pretty damn good. Which one were you leaning towards? Have you got any feedback about them yet?

Thanks for the good comments about my work. Don't worry about critiquing them mate, i know you're flat out. They're mostly old stuff, I've not written poetry for about two years. Been trying to build up my creativity again, got this site and a blog on livejournal to try and entice out some new brain fluff! We'll see how it goes.

Hugs mate, hope you're doing ok. When do you get the stuff back from the binders, was it today??

Are you almost done now??

Hi, I don't really have much a of a critical head on my shoulders, but of your cover roughs the one that instantly appeals to me most is number 8. Just from the number of variations you've done on it yourself it's clear we both think that particular image is the strongest. The head turned away suggests something to be revealed, which reflects the title, and white on black is just more striking. Hope that helps!
